CORPORATE FINANCE ASSIGNMENT Length: 1,000 words + graphs, tables & appendices You’re the new financial analyst for an
investment firm and you’ve been asked to write a brief overview of a publicly listed company. Analyse the company’s financial and
market performance using Ch.1 P,4 as a guide for information you could include. [5 marks] Discuss the firm’s market value, you
should consider P/E and share (intrinsic) valuation models. Use Ch.8 P. 27 as a guide. [5 marks] Review the risk of the company
with the capital asset pricing model. You should compare the company to its sector and the market. Use Ch.9 P.33 as a guide [5
marks] Critically analyse the firm’s capital structure (over the last five years and compared to peers). Refer to Ch. 14 P. 20 and
21 as a guide. [5 marks] Synthesise the information with a discussion on the risk and return profile of the firm arising from its
operations and financial structure. Conclude your summary with an investment recommendation. [5 marks] Other requirement: A.
Each student should select from the following companies, unless otherwise approved by the lecturer: CBA( Commonwealth Bank
Australia), JBH(JB-HiFi), WES, CSL. B. Your overview should be completed in a report format that could be presented to a client.
