The poems "The Snow Storm" and "It Sifts from Leaden Sieves" are alike because they are both describing snow falling and the things the snow covers and how it covers it. The poems are different because Emerson never actually mentions snow but the way he words his poem you know exactly what he's talking about. Emily Dickenson directly mentions snow so you know right from the start what she is talking about.
