A case study is slightly different to other assignments that you have done. Generally a Case Study approach
is used to highlight a specthc. urque or pertinent aspect of care. This approach helps you to delve deeper
into an aspect of care which m of interest to you by asking you to explore ii depth, the theory and practice
understandings about an actual patients problems.

3. You must also explain why this aspect of care stood out for you. For example, the nursing intervention could be mouth care. The rationale may be that you have been informed by your preceptor that this aspect of care is crucial in these patients to reduce the risk of pneumonia (Goss et al 2011)
