A Temper Tantrum
After reading the assignment for this discussion, it sounded like my girls when they were a little younger. Made me laugh and reflect back on how I managed a similar situation. Some of the things to eliminate a tantrum are to teach children that mistakes are usual since the 51/2-year-old took a ball from another child, the mother would need to let her child know that what she did was wrong and that we do not grab things from another child without asking. The mother would also need to inform that her behavior was inappropriate that she should not act out for her bad behavior. When speaking to her child, she would need to talk appropriately to her child. Early interventions are informing your child beforehand, by speaking to your child and giving them choices and praising them for their good behaviors. The mother would need to keep a close eye on her child. Plan ahead: Tell your child in advance if you’re planning to go to the store, a doctor’s appointment, or change his or her routine. They may not enjoy the change, but it will help prepare them for what’s to come ("Managing and Preventing Temper Tantrums -
