"Statistical thinking is a decision-making skill demonstrated by the ability to draw conclusions based on data (Foster 279)." We all make decisions daily, most decisions are based on feelings and emotion. These decisions can go well at times, and other times the emotion or feeling allows us to use distorted reasoning that may not be a good decision. The book explains all work is completed through interconnected processes. That all things rely or depend on something else, and most things are planned and thought out. All processes have variation, nothing is perfect or the same each time, there are different levels of variation. To understand a process and its variation are to attempt to control the process. To control a process, you must understand the conditions that make it vary. Each adjustment to a condition can change the variation. Thoughts?
