"How to Write a Strong Thesis Statement for Your Essay".

What happened the year that you were born? Besides your birth, there were many important events that occurred in the world and perhaps those events shaped history.
For this essay, you’ll find out all the answers! Be sure to click on the files for your notes and grading rubric.
To find out what events happened the year you were born, use the "World News Digest, Facts, & Files" database located in the Monroe College Library. Some of the current graphics are a bit different, but the navigation is the same. If the World Digest site doesn't provide you with enough information, you can try
other sites. Just remember to provide proper APA formatted documentation for whatever site(s) you use. The APA format guide is both in the Start Here documents and in the Library Resources in the Monroe College Library Resources. I will review access the electronic databases during the live chat.
Once you have conducted your research, write an essay of at least 5 paragraphs that answers the following prompt: Summarize specific examples of world events that took place in the year you were born. Be sure to write a strong thesis statement in your introduction paragraph and in the body paragraphs use transitional words to introduce examples (click on link for notes and view video).
