Economic instability continues to hold a central position in national politics. Issues debated during the 1930s Great Depression regularly resurface in heated discussions between elected officials and experts alike. How do the speeches, policies, and viewpoints of the Great Depression era influence your thinking about the current debates on Universal Basic Income and taxing millionaires? Does society think the government has a responsibility to provide for its citizens?
