I. Doing the Assignment
Assume that the report is being prepared for management. This means that you need to be clear and concise about your recommendations and that you should present the basic ideas and System analysis and Design Concepts (COMP 1004) – Spring - 20 – CW (Assignment) – All – QP MEC_AMO_TEM_034_01 Page 3 of 11 recommendations in the report simply and with no extraneous information. Other relevant information and supporting evidence is to appear in appendices.
Your report should include information on the following items:
1. Write an introduction which includes a description of the organization you chose to study.(10 marks)
2. Choose an appropriate methodology according to the type of Information System and justify your answer.(10 marks)
3. Identify the problem that led to the development of the project. You need to apply appropriate data collection methods to determine the user requirements and the relevant information about it. You need to include the evidences in the appendices (interview questions, questionnaire results,…).(20 marks)
4. Conduct a literature review to study similar systems.(10 marks)
5. Study another alternative of the proposed system and evaluate it based on evaluation criteria. (At least four evaluation criteria need to be identified).(10 marks)
6. Suggest an information system that addresses the user requirements and determine at leastfour features of the proposed system. (10 marks)
7. Study one type of feasibility for the proposed system (economic, technical, legal and contractual,…). (10 marks)
8. Write a reflective writing section that summarizes the contents of your work, learning and experiences.(10marks)
Viva / Presentation: There are no separate marks for viva and presentation. The assignment will be judged based on the knowledge and understanding of the student.
