MENA (The Middle East and Northern Africa)

MENA (The Middle East and Northern Africa)
Think about what you know about The Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) right now. Write that down. Then go to the Course Homepage in Blackboard. One of the icons at the bottom of the page is titled "Content Capture - Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) Region video." Click on that icon and watch the entire video content. I want to share my experiences from a Faculty Development in International Business trip I took to The UAE and Egypt. I hope that you enjoy it and learn some things about the MENA region that you did not know previously. Make sure to watch the entire content, taking notes. Look up some facts about the UAE and Egypt and include these in your write up -- Include population, average income, major languages, major religions, type of government, official currency, unemployment rate, poverty rate, and major industries, as a minimum. Go beyond the numbers I share in the video. Be sure to cite your sources on your reference page in APA format (and you will also include a cover page) -- please see syllabus for details on guidelines for written assignments. Now, discuss your impression of this part of the world prior to watching the video. Discuss your impression of this part of the world after watching the video. What did you learn from the video presentation that you did not know before? How would this affect doing business with people from the MENA region?
